Recent Ventura Police DUI Checkpoint Results

While conducting a DUI and CDL checkpoint on December 12th, 2025, the Ventura Police Department had no DUI arrests. If you plan on drinking or taking medications that may impact your ability to drive safely, plan on staying safe at home. If you see a drunk driver, always call 9-1-1. Drivers charged with DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license.

The checkpoint was held on Main St. near Mills Rd. from 2100 to 0045 hours. The following is a list of the enforcement activities that took place at, or as a result of the checkpoint:

  • 929 vehicles passed through the checkpoint
  • 522 drivers were contacted and screened through the checkpoint.
  • 16 SFST’s were conducted.
  • 1 driver was arrested (cite and released) for 11395(b)(1) HS / Possession of a Hard Drug.
  • 1 driver was arrested (cite and released) for 11364(a) HS / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • 1 driver was arrested (cite and released) for 14601.2(a) VC / Suspended CDL for Prior DUI.
  • 1 driver was arrested (cited and released) for 14601.5 (a) VC / Suspended CDL for DUI.
  • 1 driver was cited for 14601.1(a) VC / Suspended CDL.
  • 1 driver was cited for 23222(a) VC / Open Container of an Alcoholic Beverage.
  • 1 driver was cited for 23222(b)(1) VC / Possession of Marijuana in a Vehicle.
  • 5 drivers were cited for 12500(a) VC / Unlicensed Driver.
  • 6 drivers were cited for other miscellaneous CVC violations.
