“Catch the Leprechaun Spirit!” at Ventura’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade

CAPS Saint Patrick's Day ParadeOn Saturday, March 14 CAPS Media crews covered the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This year’s theme, “Catch-the-Leprechaun Spirit!,” captured the magic and essence of this festive holiday that heralds the coming of spring and celebrates all that is good and green. The parade’s grand marshal was Brian Brennan, a native Irishman who has lived in Ventura for decades. As a former mayor, four-term city councilmember and dedicated environmentalist in Ventura, Brennan has given back to his hometown in countless ways over the years.

The CAPS parade crew included director Manny Reynoso, producer and drone pilot Alex Uvari, project manager Elizabeth Rodeno, lead camera operator Ethan Messecar, audio engineer and postproduction supervisor Gary Roll, operations manager Donald McConnell, coordinating producer Phil Taggart and a supporting cast of high school students from CAPS VUSD ECTV media program as camera operators and production assistants.

The 2026 St. Patrick’s Day Parade is broadcast and streamed on CAPS throughout the month of March. See the CAPS website – capsmedia.org, to see specific programming times.
