Love Ventura’s Upcoming Day of Service

By Carol Leish, MA –

Love Ventura is a nonprofit organization that demonstrates the importance of connecting, giving, and serving to help strengthen the community.

“Love Ventura is about showing our love for this community through action,” said Sara Abrams, co-founder. “For five years, volunteers have demonstrated what is possible when we all come together with a shared commitment to serve our neighbors and make Ventura a better place for everyone.”

Over its five years, Love Ventura has continued to grow. The organization is made up entirely of volunteers who work to make Ventura a more thriving and connected place to live, work, and play. By partnering with existing groups, organizations, and individuals, Love Ventura seeks to expand its reach and make a greater impact throughout Ventura’s neighborhoods, schools, and businesses.

On October 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., community members are invited to participate in Love Ventura’s annual Citywide Day of Service. The event brings volunteers together to build relationships, invest their time and energy in local projects, and make a positive difference in the community.

Volunteers can choose from a variety of projects supporting local nonprofits, community spaces, neighborhoods, schools, and other organizations serving Ventura residents.

“Whether you are coming on your own, bringing your family, or organizing a team, there will be a place for you at Love Ventura,” said Vince Savelich, board member. “This is an invitation for our entire community to come together and put love into action.”
