- Wednes 7/16 11:50am, received report of an electric boat towing a dock in the keys. Officers responded in Rescue Boat 19, observed boat towing a dock with an outboard on the dock. They seemed to be making headway, offered escort, they refused.
- 8:01pm, dispatched to wellness check in VWM G-dock. Officers responded with VPD and unfortunately found a deceased patient.
- Thursday 7/17: 6:14pm, received report of vehicle hit-and-run in the village. Officers advised to contact Ventura PD for vehicle accidents, advised cameras in area pointed away.
- Friday 7/18: 1:40pm, received report of disabled vessel in the surfline near the South Jetty. Officers responded in RB19, towed the vessel out of surfline and to the L/R.
- 2:20pm, received report of “E-foil” operating through the swim area at Harbor Cove. Officers contacted skipper, educated on violations, including registration and safety equipment. Motorized vessels need registration to operate in harbor.
- 5:01pm, while on patrol in RB-19, officers observed an overturned kayak with two persons in the water. The victims were pulled aboard, transported to dock.
- Saturday 7/19: 6:28am, observed NOAA issued a Small Craft Advisory, raised warning pennant
- 10:07am, dispatched to unconscious person in the Portside complex. Officers responded with VFD to assist with patient treatment and assessment.
- Sunday 7/20: 2:40pm, observed a vessel in distress near the harbor entrance. Officers responded in Rescue Boat 19 to assist. Once on scene, a good Samaritan had taken the vessel en tow to the launch ramp. The vessel ran out of fuel.
- 7:17pm, while manning the operations center, officers responsible for reuniting a individual with his lost briefcase that contained wallet/keys and other personal items received a thank you card and heartfelt thanks.
- Monday 7/21: 10:30am, received report of disabled 40ft sailboat in the main channel. Officers responded in RB-19, took the vessel in side-tie to their slip in VWM C-dock.
- 1:10pm, dispatched to medical in Ventura Marina Community. Officers responded with VFD and unfortunately found a deceased patient.
- 5:25pm, while on patrol in Fireboat, observed small sailboat struggling outside the harbor. Officers assisted the vessel with an escort back to Yacht club docks.
- 5:59pm, received report from transient couple of found property, Honda Generator. Officers, astonished by the goodwill of the finders, received the property, returned to the owner of a wedding rental company.
- Tuesday 7/22: 5:33am, observed NOAA issued Small Craft Advisory for winds gusting to 25kts in the western portion of the East SB channel, raised warning pennant.
- 12:10pm, received report of two separate vessels operating recklessly in the entrance of the harbor. Officers responded in the Fireboat, contacted the skippers, educated the pair on harbor ordinance for speeding and state laws for reckless and negligent operation violations.
- 12:30pm, the owner of the found Honda generator yesterday picked up property. They were over-the-moon for the goodwill of the couple that found and returned their generator.
