Hi, I’m Eris! I’m a sweet, 1-year-old Rottweiler/Shepherd mix who, through no fault of my own, has found my way back to CARL. I can be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, my playful side shines through. I love nothing more than snuggling up in a favorite human’s lap and playing with toys. I don’t do well being alone all day and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. While I haven’t been around cats or young children, I get along well with other dogs and older kids. I’m crate-trained, come when called, and I’m working on my leash skills. I’m allowed indoors, but I’m not yet house-trained. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who needs a little basic training and lots of love and patience, please fill out an online application to meet me!

Hi, I’m Riot! I’m an outgoing, 4-year-old (and 3-months!) Pit Bull in need of a new home. My previous owners were evicted and haven’t been able to find a permanent place to live, so now I’m looking for a second chance. I’m full of love and energy. I enjoy running and playing outside, so a home with a backyard would be ideal. I walk well on a leash and would love to go exploring with you. I get along well with both small and large dogs, as well as kids, and I can be left alone during the day without issues. It’s unknown how I do with cats. I love attention and getting pets from my human friends. I can be a little timid in new situations, but I warm up with kindness and patience. I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and will bark when I need to go outside. I know the basics—sit, stay, and come—and I’m eager to learn more! If you think I might be the right fit for your family, please fill out an online application.

Hi, I’m Sable! I’m a very playful and energetic 9-month-old Dutch Shepherd mix with lots of energy to burn! I was surrendered by my owner due to separation anxiety—I don’t like being left alone and have been known to clear a 6-foot fence when I get bored. But I don’t do this when someone is home. I’m great with children and get along well with other dogs. I’ve met a cat and was just curious. I’m very smart and know basic commands like come, sit, and stay. I’m also house-trained and crate-trained. I love being with my people, playing with other dogs, and running to my heart’s content. I need lots of exercise and attention, and I’d be a perfect companion for an active person or family. I can’t wait to find my forever home where I can explore, learn, and live life to the fullest!
All of these amazing pets are being cared for by the Canine Adoption and Rescue League (CARL). Could you provide a forever home for one of these wonderful animals? To read full pet bios and submit an application, visit www.CARLDogs.org or call 805-644-7387.
