Father’s Day Hit-and-Run Leaves LA Woman Critically Injured in Ventura

By Ventura Breeze Staff –

A Los Angeles woman is in the hospital with severe injuries after she was hit by a vehicle while on her morning run in Ventura. Loved ones say Bianca Trester was running near Mondos Beach at 3714 Pacific Coast Hwy on Father’s Day when she was hit by a hit-and-run driver. Bianca lives in mid-city LA near the Wilshire/Highland area and was in Ventura visiting family when the accident happened.

“Bianca sustained a broken femur, two broken tibias, a broken jaw, broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and brain trauma. She had a successful surgery early Monday morning to stabilize the bones in her legs, but she’s going to need multiple surgeries this week to permanently fix her legs and jaw…She is drifting in and out of consciousness, and her short-term memory has yet to return. Each time she wakes, we must explain what has happened, and her response each time has been unwavering: please find the person who did this to her.”
