Community Memorial Healthcare is expanding access to primary care by offering after-hours appointments at four locations across Ventura County: Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, and Santa Paula. Patients and their families can now schedule appointments with a family medicine physician or pediatrician outside traditional office hours. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., as well as on weekends.
After-hours primary care is especially convenient for working families who need greater flexibility with scheduled appointments that fit their work, school, and family schedules. After-hours primary care is not intended for urgent or emergency needs. Walk-in urgent care is available at Community Memorial’s urgent care locations. For life-threatening emergencies, patients should call 911 or go to the closest emergency room immediately.
Primary and pediatric care are available for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. For Community Memorial patients, after-hours visits connect with the secure MyChart patient portal, allowing their primary care physician to stay informed about their care.
Most major insurance plans are accepted, including Gold Coast/Medi-Cal and most private and managed-care insurance plans, including Seaview and TRICARE/UnitedHealthcare.

How is After-Hours Care Different from Urgent Care?
After-hours care is scheduled primary and pediatric care for those who need more flexible appointment options. It is not walk-in care and should not be used for your urgent or emergency care needs.
