“Only 30 tickets are left for this supernatural soiree in a historic and, some claim, ‘haunted’ mansion,” said Josh Carsman, marketing/fund development manager for Turning Point Foundation of Ventura County. “Get 15% off event tickets through September 15 by using code ‘venturabreeze.’”
The Halloween@Bard Mansion fundraiser will take place Oct. 24 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Port Hueneme Naval Base. The exclusive evening will feature magic by Ron Saylor, a headliner at the Hollywood Magic Castle and producer of Celebrities of Magic.
Local comedian “Big Tom” McClain will provide the laughs, while Sonia and Rebecca will offer psychic readings. Guests can also enjoy ghost hunting, a silent auction and more.
Dinner choices include filet mignon, herb-encrusted salmon, or mushroom risotto with grilled vegetables topped with truffle oil. Dessert options are chocolate cake or New York cheesecake with strawberry drizzle. Dinner also includes wine, coffee, tea and water.
Proceeds will benefit the Turning Point Foundation of Ventura County, whose mission is to improve the quality of life for adults ages 18 and older experiencing serious mental illness, addiction, homelessness and inadequate physical health care. The foundation provides health navigation services, rehabilitation, wellness and recovery programs, as well as temporary, transitional and permanent supported housing throughout Ventura County.
Carsman said proceeds from Halloween @ Bard Mansion will specifically support local programs including Vince St. Vet, which provides veteran transitional housing, and Our Place Safe Haven, a 24/7 emergency walk-in shelter.
“Special thanks to our top sponsors, SSA Marine and the Port of Hueneme,” Carsman said.
