The Ojai Library is partnering with SFJAZZ to present a live stream of “Duke Ellington for Young People,” a Family Matinee event featuring the Marcus Shelby Orchestra, taking place at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 8 at the Ojai Library; both fun and educational, SFJAZZ’s Family Matinees provide a window into the exciting world of live jazz.
Avenue Library and Hill Road Library present a Garden to Table series Taught by Certified Master Gardener, Terry Garman.
The Green Scene: Growing Leafy Bounty Year-Round—in this tips-filled session, you’ll learn when to plant various greens suited for the local Ventura climate, season extension methods, soil preparation, growing tips, what to do about common disease and pests, and harvesting tips for continual production.

Spring into Action: Beans & Squash Success. We’ll guide you through the entire growing cycle, from seed to harvest, plus share expert tips on storage and quick recipes to make your homegrown vegetables shine at your table.

Young artists and engineers are invited to explore using 3D pens to create 3D designs. Choose from an assortment of simple projects or just get to know the 3D pen by creating your own unique design. Space is limited. Designed for ages 8+.
Who Wrote Shakespeare – The Suspects – Tuesday, February 18, at 5:00 pm at Hill Road Library Shakespeare’s plays are known across the globe and have shaped our literary world for centuries.
In last year’s lecture series, Dr. Bob Mayberry presented the myths and legends surrounding the authorship of Shakespearean literature. This year, Dr. Mayberry will share new research and findings in a talk focused on his seven most likely candidates for who “really” wrote Shakespeare! Dr. Bob Mayberry is professor emeritus of English at CSU – Channel Islands and has written novels, poetry, and plays. This event is free and open to the public.
