14th Annual Autism Run – April 26

By Carol Leish, MA –

The 14th Annual AUT2RUN, hosted by the Autism Society of Ventura County, will take place April 26, 2026, at CSU Channel Islands. This year’s theme, “Together We Shine,” highlights the event’s mission of community, connection, and support.

The event features a 15K, 10K, 5K, 1-mile run, Fun K for children and individuals with special needs, and a virtual option. Participants may walk, run, or roll, making the event accessible to all. Registration fees vary, and details are available at www.AUT2run.org.

In addition to the run, the event includes Southern California’s largest autism resource fair, which is free and open to the public. Attendees can explore local programs and services designed to support individuals with autism and their families.

Board member Ashley Pope, who joined the organization eight years ago as a parent seeking support for her son, emphasized the importance of community. She said, “I connected with the Autism Society of Ventura County eight years ago because I have a son on the autism spectrum. He was 5 at the time, and I was looking for community support and opportunities to learn from other parents. I was impressed by the wide range of programs available.” The organization offers a wide range of options, including social groups, family events, and sensory play opportunities throughout Ventura County.

Proceeds from AUT2RUN directly support the Autism Society of Ventura County’s mission to provide resources, advocacy, and inclusive programs for individuals on the autism spectrum. For more information or to register, visit www.autismventura.org.
